The changing role of NATO - Challenges on all fronts.

Over 45 years ago the JASON Institute was established to inform students and young professionals on matters of international peace and security. On this website you will find all the information you may possibly need.

Registration is free and gives you access to the entire event platform for the entire day, so it is up to you to decide which sessions you join. So, reserve April 9th in your agenda, secure your ticket and enjoy! Below you will find the latest updates, so stay tuned.

Yes, that is possible. Registration through the link on this website will give you access to the entire event platform for the entire day. Whether you only attend the opening session with the keynote of Chantal de Jonge Oudraat or a mix of sessions is completely up to you. You can leave and enter the platform at your own discretion.

ATTENDANCE

Yes. Over the last couple of months, we have worked really hard together with our partners to make our entire programme available on a digital event platform. As you may have noticed, we have maintained our physical location, the Grote Kerk in The Hague, but instead of welcoming all of you there physically, we will transform the venue into one big studio fully dedicated to bringing the contents of our programme directly to the comforts of your own home. Some speakers will be present physically, others will be present via a live video connection.

The more the merrier! Our event is completely free of charge and anyone who is interested in the contents of this event is more than welcome, regardless of age or geographical location. In addition, no prior knowledge of any particular domain is required and our speakers will touch upon a wide range of topics. We hope to welcome you as well!

Yes, all the sessions will be recorded and made available as soon as possible after the event. In addition, photographs, cartoons and even an aftermovie will be shared through social media to give everyone an impression of the event in general.

EVENT

No, during our event on April 9th we will discuss three regions in particular: Africa, the Arctic and China. Our podcasts, on the other hand, will discuss other regions and therefore we have invited different speakers. More information about the podcasts can be found HERE

Yes, it is. While there will be ample opportunities to ask questions during the event, we welcome any questions you may have for our speakers beforehand and try to incorporate them into the preparations. You can reach out to us via jubilee@stichtingjason.nl

No, it is not necessary to turn on your camera. During the livestreams, our speakers will look into the camera and not be able to see the audience. We are currently exploring the option to let our audience ask questions via video connections (instead of only written questions in the Q&A box). If this option becomes available, we will clearly communicate on our socials and on this website.

Please note that all contributions of our speakers will be in ENGLISH
